Value Engineering your Business

Value Engineering started in World War II when engineers discovered that the reinventions they were required to create because of war shortages often made the products better. The practice continues today as applied to what we sell; however, with the addition of Business Models, it now makes sense to Value Engineer your entire Business.

Value Engineering works with making something more valuable by improving its function or reducing its cost. A simple way to apply this to a business is to say the function of the business is to produce cash flow. The better we are at that, the more valuable the business becomes. This is exactly where Business Models shine. Their use develops insights in the the cash flow mechanisms to lead us into directions of increased revenues and reduced costs without a lot of financial mumbo-jumbo.

Working with a Business Model

Our Value Engineering consulting modules uses Business Model tools to discover practical ways to improve the Sellability of your business. The 4 core modules are 1 hour sessions which:
  • analyze the value drivers determining the worth of the business
  • build business models to discover alternative value strategies
  • relate the owner to the business with their Personal Business Model
  • begin the reinvention of owner and business values
The 4 core modules are offered as a package for $500 plus travel and living expenses if outside the DFW area. Alternatively the small business owner can pay for them individually for $175 each session.
